Offer full-fat cow's milk as a main drink from 12 months in an open cup. Aim for 300–400 ml per day. Do not exceed 500 ml daily as excess milk can reduce intake of iron-rich foods.

Continue full-fat cow's milk in an open cup as part of a varied diet. Around 2 years, reduced-fat milk is appropriate if the child is eating well across food groups.
